M5Od on 5.0

Hey, check out this ad. This guys selling a 5.0 with he claims to be an M5OD trans. did they put the M5Od behind the 5.0? Direct bolt in to a 4.0 truck with an M5OD?

they came in full size trucks too, but the bell housing bolt pattern is different.

Technically it's a M50D-R2, whereas the one in the RBV's is the M50D-R1... Both Mazda transmissions...

Similar transmissions, but not the same at all. The R2 from my understanding is basically just an overscale model of the R1.

That's the hot set-up for those doing the V-8 swap into a 4x4, about the only good option.

So does the R2 bolt up to a BW1354? Overall lengths the same?

No it doesn't bolt up to a 1354. You would need to use a full size transfercase aswell.
