hey guys.. doing a 5 speed swap into my 2wd 2.3.. i got a trans from a 95 ranger.. will my driveshaft work or do i need another one? i found a 87-88ish 2.3 5 speed reg cab short box like mine.. will that driveshaft and clutch/flywheel/pressure plate work?? what about a compouter.. does it have to be 93 spec??

thanks guys

The driveshaft will be the correct length, but the slip yoke that slides into the transmission is different (larger) on the M5OD-R1 manual trans than it is on the A4LD automatic.

as for the computer, I'm not completely sure on 2.3's.
But it's safe to say "yes"

One from a 1994 will very likely work as would one from a 1991-92.

one from a 1995-up will not.
