Okay so my ranger keep getting stuck in second gear so i replaced the shift lever "shifter stub" idk what its called any more ive heard so many names for it. well i go to install it into my rig and i no longer have the use of third gear... well i took it back out and compared the two and i had a longer on in there before. Well ill attach a picture of what im talking about and if someone could instruct me on where to find one that would be great. My truck is a 93 3.0 4wd.. Thanks alot!!

there are two lengths of "stub lever"

The shorter ones used from 1988 until sometime in 1993 and the longer one used from 1993 until 1997.

in 1998 ford changed the longer "hand lever" that attaches to it and this
changed involved moving the keying groove and the orientation of the tapered pin (the double ended bolt) that retains the hand lever.
