hey yall, just picked up a black Ranger XL. its a step side regular cab 2 wheel drive, manual, 186,000 miles. wanting to put a 4.53 rear axle in for my first mod. looking forward to sharing projects. I'm in placerville CA.Rubicon here i come! trouble with AC, low r 134a. any do it ur self tips?:sad:to finding leaks? :icon_bounceblue:
 
welcome!! take a spin at the a/c section
for the leaks, use some soappy water with the system ON, works well the times ive done it.

You should be able to get do-it-yourself 134a recharge kits at local parts stores, and get some UV dye and a blacklight. We can in my neck of the woods anyway.

The UV dye/Black light combo works pretty well the times I've used it in the shop at work. Its useful for tracking down those real pesky small leaks that always seem impossible to find....

Ranger Sport's way is definitely cheaper, though.
