i got one of those lund moonvisors with one of the rangers i have and it has the lights built it, the wires for the lights were just kind of hanging when i got it, so i pulled them out today so i can re-wire them and make them work correctly, anyone have anyidea how to wire these lights? i dont want to just go out and buy the wiring kit for it

I know I have my moonvisor wire into my park lights... Positive to positive negative to negative...

Series cicuits would make sense. Try those out and keep us updated. I personally don't like the moon visors. I'm just gonna get the regular visor without lights. BTW how much did that visor run ya?

Yes, the lights are wired in series. I think I got my visor for like $160 or something thru Summit.

I wired mine into the headlight. the only unforeseen side effect of that is that when I turn on the brights, the visor lights turn off, probably a relay issue. anyway. its easy to wire down the door frame under the weather stripping.

I remember reading a thread about making the low-beam stay on when the high-beams are activated, making for a brighter light output when running high-beams. This makes me think they are separate circuits, so using the park lights makes more sense, unless you do the low/high-beam mod.

If you used the park lights, would the visor flash when you use your turn signal?

I'm pretty sure they won't, when I use a test light on wires for trailers its the brake light circuit that does the signaling.
