well guys is there anyway an lt1 can be placed in a 1994 ranger elt....it got the 4 liter now

my budie has done a 327 and 350 in a ranger. i dont like them because you got to notch the fire wall for the cap and rotter, were a 302- 351s are in front. why not put a svt cobra motor in or a lightning motor.?

I'm not sure about any other problems, but the LT1 engine has no distributor, but if you are planning on going anywhere near water I wouldn't use an LT1, as they use the Optispark system, which sits at the bottom of the engine and does NOT like water at all... Not only will it totally kill your engine till it dries out, but it will fry the Optispark, and they ain't cheap to fix ($200-300). Just something to think about...

im aware for the whole optispark issue....i was thinging more around town and straight line shit. So i can be done without and extreme amount of fabrication

I really don't have any idea, I've never done one, but as you know it has no distributor like a normal SBC 350 so that wouldn't be a problem... I wouldn't know about anything else
