OK,

I am new to all this! I plan on doing a 3/4 drop with a djm kit. I am wondering what size tires you can run with this. I currently have a set of 16 Bronco rims, will these work with the kit?

Jeremy

You will probably rub the fronts with those 16's. I rub at about 3/4 full lock and I have 15's from a Splash...mine is 5 inchs though. You will probably rub...final answer.

The rear will be fine.

What I thought. I hope to put the 16's on an AMC Eagle anyways. I need to get some 14's, and will probably need to buy those first.

Jeremy

14's will look really small once you start getting it lower and lower. I am assuming the truck is an 86 from your info. The 16's will look REALLY slick with the right tires on them but you will have to get REALLY low profile tires.

Remember, it's the overall size that matters with your rim/tire combo. I have 15" rims right now and have been looking for my overall size for when I get new rims. If you lower your truck, and you can fit a 25" tire up front on a 14" rim, then you can fit a 16" rim with a 25" tire.

it all depends on the tire wheel combo i have 15s on the front of mine with 215 30 r15s on it and a 4/5 drop and mine dont rub

I do not have the kit yet. Going to have to start saving. I am buying an Amc Eagle first, need to get that paid for. Then the DJM kit will be saved for. I thought I had 16's on there, they are really 15's (borrowed from a Bronco) not sure what tire size at present, and to lazy to look right now.

My '96 has 16's with the same DJM 3/4 drop, and I run General Altimax 215/55R16's with no rubbing, even when the road gets rough. My mud flaps are grinding down nicely though :)

Yea at one point in time I had a 3/4 drop on my explorer with 235 75 15 on it but then dropped down to 225 60 15 when I bagged it the first time around.

im lowered 5 inches in the front with 17 inch bullits off a mustang and i dont rub
