Good morning all, I am putting the 4/5 DJM kit on my truck and the passenger side went fine but I’m trying to put the drivers side leaf spring back and it’s not aligning with the center bolt slot. Any tips or am I missing something? Thanks

Also I should have clarified, when you look down on the axle it is visually leaning/not straight.

How do you have the leaf spring supported compared to the other side? Not many people realize this, but as the leaf spring flattens out, it pushes the rearend up and to the rear of the truck. As the spring gets flatter, it gets longer. That is the shackle's job, to accommodate the spring getting longer and shorter.

I may be being dense but I’m not getting what the problem is. Is it not lining side to side?

When I replaced the springs on the 2011, I did have to push on the leaf pack some to get the axle to seat on the bolt in the spring.

It’s kind of hard to explain, it’s like the rear axle is steering. So on the passenger side it fits but on the drivers side the leaf spring center bolt is too forward to sit in the axle hole.

I ended up getting it. Some guy on a keep forum had the same problem. I jacked up the axle under the diff which gave me enough play to love the axle forward, but I had to bolt up the u bolts before I dropped it.
