how do I lower the fuel tank to replace the fill neck hose? do I need to take to a pro?

Personally, I think taking the bed off is easier. 6 bolts, 1 elec connecter, 3 screws at filler.

That's what I'd be doing. You don't even need to remove the box, just raise it out of the way enough to replace the hose.

T55 and an impact gun and enjoy the noise you will hear for a mile!

My brother and I replaced his last year. After spending an hour trying to get around it we finally moved the bed. It took 30 min once it was out of the way. It's worth moving the bed to do it.
