Lowering a 4wd?

I am currently in the process of building a 99 Ford Ranger 4X4 into a twin turbo charged AWD beast. So keep rocking on your build. My intentions are to lower it as far as I can without putting too much stress on the axles. Instead of the 302 from the mountaineer I am going to build a bullet proof 351 and install the GT40P heads on it. If anyone has any suggestions on what transmission I should use please feel free to jump in. I was thinking about a 4R55e, or ZF S5-42, but I want something that can hold up to some serious power. I built a 97 Turbo 2.3l 2WD ranger with a posi rear end and all I do is spin tires everytime it hits 18psi. I want an EVO and STI killer in a little sleeper ford ranger. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

sounds kinda weird but it would work... get some fender flares front and rear, nice 33ish mud tires on your street what ever rims to look cool and some air heavy duty air bags... see problem solved

you can lower for the street and lift it for the trails
