Has anybody done it? I searched and didnt really find anything.

I currently have a 97 ranger ext cab. 3/4 drop on beams and a flip kit. 17s etc.. but I finally decided that I do not have enough clearnace and its just not pratical when i live so...

I was wondering if I went back to stock ibeams and did a 2 inch leveling coil and maybe a coil spacer that would give me the 4 inch's that I want. Could that still be aliginable. I have -/+ 4 degree camber bushings now. Maybe other ideas?

In the back I wanna switch the the expo 8.8 that I already have wating to go in. Ive been told that the expo leaf springs lift the ranger and maybe run a belltech 6400 shackle for the other 2 inches.

Im looking for more info about this and if anything you just read would even work lol. This would be my first lift kit.

Overall I want to run a 31 inch tall tire. Right now I have a 2.3 5 speed. I wonder if the 3.73 would be enough gear for the truck?

Current picture of my truck now

I have a 96 with what was advertised as a 2 inch leveling coil but turned out to give me about 3 inches of lift in the front and even with the +-4 deg bushings I cant get aligned on stock beams.

Thank you

3.73 will be fine with 31s. The difference really becomes noticable around 33 and up.

thanks for the compliment slow96gt. Its my baby. I bought it 8 months ago from the origional owner. Garaged in winters. NO RUST witch is a godsend in Maine.

Alright so 3.73's will be fine with the 31s. Thats good since I already have the axle.

Rampager- what level springs did you get? and do you know how far off your alignemnt is?

Thank you

Im in BC Canada so I got springtech springs through Canuck Motorsports. With only the Napa +-4 deg bushings my camber was about 1.5 deg out on each side.
