Lower intake Manifold/thermostat "seat"

Does anyone know what the 2.9 L Thermostat seat in the lower intake manifold is supposed to look like? (a call for pics, please) Is there supposed to be a completely round "seat" for the thermostat, or is there a "gap" in that seat. I am trying to figure out if part of the manifold is broken.

i just replaced my water pump and t-stat a few months back, i just pulled the engine and replaced all the gaskets too.

i dont know if this helps, but here ya go

the t-stat fits in a recessed circular opening behind the water outlet (the piece with the coolant in it - has (3) 10mm bolts securing it) you can kinda see it in the pic

may help to post a pic of yours and people can tell you if it looks broken

ya. It's that recessed opening behind the t-stat housing that I was hoping to get a picture of. I can't get a pic of mine right now.
