Low fuel pressure until truck starts?

Regardless I think I should replace that line since if it fails I'd be dead in the water. It looks like these are unavailable from Ford and I can't find any aftermarket options? Is it possible to just buy fuel line and reuse the fittings with hose clamps maybe?

Also, why does my exhaust smell like burning plastic now after changing the fuel pump? That doesn't seem normal to me?

I guess my only option is to make my own fuel line with the Dorman kit?

2011 Ford Ranger will trade for Chevy! New air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, spark plug wires, ignition coil, fuel pump relay and fuel pump. Still runs like shit.

It fell off I didn't need to lol. Up under the blue thing you mean? It's just that large outlet port.

I ordered an adapter that I can screw into my pressure gauge and plug into the line before the fuel filter to isolate the front from the rear of the fuel system.

Does anyone know just how much pressure loss is normal say overnight? I'm getting very conflicting opinions on the internet. Some say, it should hold 60psi for years! Some say it should lose a little some say it should slowly creep down to 20psi lol. I have the service manual but it doesn't say anything about acceptable pressure loss, just KOEO pressure and engine on pressures.

Have you checked for leaking injector? You could always let it sit for a while after running and once pressure drops pull plugs out and see if one or more are wet with fuel. A pain- but something to think about.

It's something I do need to check Bill thanks. It should hold at 60+psi for months? If that's the case then I definitely still have an issue. Weird thing is my truck started and idled perfectly this morning without cycling the key at all🤔. I'll see how it starts tonight ght on my way home from work
