Ok here is my situation:
I swap my FM146 behind my 2.9l for an M50D behind from a 4.0l. In the process I did a 4.0l clutch conversion...I have put a 4.0l flywheel, centerforce 2 clutch and pressure plate...the guy did 1000km on it...the slave is also new and the hydraulic line from the master to the slave is new. And it have been bleeded couple of time.
Now the problem:
The clutch pedal is really low...can't remember if it was like that before the swap...I have maybe 2 inch of travel on the pedal before hiting the firewall..if I pull the pedal up, it goes up for 4-5 inch above the resting place...it is a little hard to put in first put dosen't grind...in reverse it grind a little...also wen the clutch is not press I heard the trought out bearing grinding...when press it stop...the bearing was new but now sure if it was the centerforce one.
Now the questions:
What would cause it to grind? and why is my pedal so low?? should it have 4-5 inch o loose on the pedal?...would a stock trough out bearing be to weak for centerforce pressure plate??...also the pedal is really hard...but I asume that's inconvenience of a centerforce pressure plate.
The next thing I plan to do is to replace the master cylinder...
