Loud Thumping noise!

I searched and well couldn't find anything!

Twice now when ive been just idling I can hear several loud thumps coming from the front of my truck.... I have nooooo clue what this could be?

Motor mounts maybe? Or maybe one of the angry gerbils is trying to break free...

They sound like there in different places up front and they vary in loudness...

Its only done it twice... and it i was just driving normally... so idk how to answer that...

I thought you said idling... If you were driving that brings all sorts of other things into play like suspension, etc...

I was driving on a paved road came to a stop at a stop sign and it started thumping... and it was only when i was idling at a stop sign... it doesnt happen when I drive...

Hm, its not suspension then. Is it s consistent thumping? Have you attempted to open the hood and listen in the engine bay where it is happening? Afterall, it IS at idle...

Does it happen in "D" drive with your foot on the brake, AND when you put the truck in "P" park?

It could still be a number of issues...

Okay well forget the thump... Now I can hear a ticking noise?!?!? WTF?!!!!

Like a constant ticking?

Fuel injectors are very loud on the 4.0s. Could be lifters too. At first, I thought the ticking from my truck was lifters. But found out it was the injectors that were ticking.

Hmm Well That could be it... cause I let my truck sit for pry two days then started it up and yeah... ticking.
