Loss of power around 3600 rpm

ive had my 91 with the 4.0 up to 120 before i ran out of road
On the older ones, like your 91, the cable runs the speedo and the speed sensor goes to the computer. If you unplug the speed sensor, you have no speed limiter. You probably had a bad speed sensor.

You probably had a bad speed sensor.

Or the right one... if you want to drive dangerously too fast in a Ranger that isn't set up to go high speed.

Seriously... 120 mph is just to damn fast... at that speed things happen so fast they have a mind of their own... and not a damn thing you can do to change it.

Be careful out there...

that or its going out because it bounces of the limiter at 5000 rpms but also thats not driving thats me putting it in park and revving it up

Good thinking...

Drive slower and whistle at the hot chicks. They dig Rangers...
