My credo
I need more sleep.
I don't know if anyone has ever bad this happen to them, but one day I was driving and slowing down to make a turn I hit the brakes and nothing. I took my foot off and put it back on and suddenly they came back, scared the life out of me. I checked everything and it was all fine. And ever since they've been working fine. It's just an creepy feeling that theg may go out like that. I have no idea what could have caused that sudden loss.

The only time I came across an intermittent brake failure it turned out to be the Master cylinder. This was in a Saturn S series from a female friend. First time it happened all the brakes got redone, completely. 2nd time all the lines got done. 3rd time they tore the living heck out of everything brake related and inspected EVERYTHING. Master cylinder was faulty. Car has since been issue free.

I might have it taken in and looked at, to be on the safe side.
