when i got my tuck a little over a month ago i was getting around 290 mile per tank on a fill up nows it seem im get beteen 200-250 per tank any reason this happen and ideas ??

Your lucky.

My 1992 4x4 auto gets me 12-16mpg

:-/

Yeah, my little truck is getting around 200 miles at best when I only drive the street, I get worse on the freeway because of the gearing.

winter months will tend to get worse mileage, simply because it takes longer to get to operating temp. Directly proprotional to the air temp outside, meanig that a engine at 32* is alot warmer on start up then one that is -32*

the exclusion to this is if you're in a more southern climate, never below 32*

driving habits are often adding up to worse MPG's then folks realize. Maybe you were taking it easy on it when you 1st got it and as you got to know each other more...more right pedel followed. Just running a senerio mind you, not necessarly saying that is what is happening.

if your driving habits are the same....then a good tune up is the place to start.

well when i got it i ran seaform in the gas and a little in the oil... then i changed oil, spake plugs, air filter trans and transfercase fluids i cant really remeber but i think when i get it i wasnt driveing i 4 wheel and now i am , i knwo that could shorten the milage but its seems like i was getting 250 per take give or take and now its seems liek it has dropped

damn. mine only gets around 200 before it reads empty. but i think my guage is wrong. when i normally fill up it only takes 8-9 gallons??

Same here, I think it is meant to be that way so normal people can say I need to get gas soon while on there 300000000000000000 mile road trip.

My gas gauge quit long ago, so I just top up the tank every week and reset the trip odometer. Believe me, it's better not to know the milage and just enjoy the ride.

I get 16-17 in town and about 21 on the road with an automatic (2WD) .
