Looky what I was doing while mom was out, hehehe

I'm telling your mom as well!!!!

there is no amount of excuses a person can make that builds a solid argument supporting not wearing a helmet. mostly because there is no good reason not to. but plenty of reasons of why you should

This is so true... I put on a helmet every time I ride my wheelers. the one time i didn't was because I was rolling it down a 3ft tall lump and the motor wasn't on... you know what happened? the wheels locked sideways and flipped onto me. I wasn't even going 4mph. I was lucky enough to have landed under the seat cushion.

However you can totally rip that thing better.. I've gotten my wheelers completely sideways on 2wheels in the snow before and still gotten out of it. :icon_hornsup:

wearin helmets during this. tough truck jeep

Kip - before I permanently destroyed my ankle I was about as aggressive and talented as you could find on a quad. I could get up on two wheels and then initiate drifts (either side, both directions for either side - just think THAT one over for a second) and control them, balance on one tire and drive around like that, jump whatever, come to a complete stop in a wheelie... I still wear a dang helmet even if I am out on a trail on a 4wd utility wheeler.

today? :icon_rofl:

yes i am criticizing those who choose to operate powersports vehicles sans-helmet. because doing so is like cocking a gun and looking down the barrel: best case scenario things go as planned and you live, worst case scenario...you die horribly

But isn't this true with anything? you could be driving your big burly bronco XLT down the freeway at 60-65 and within the blink of an eye be dead cause you flipped and crushed yourself, now i'm not saying wearing a helmet is bad cause i know from person experiences that they can and can't work in the worst of times (rode a lot of bicycle as a kid ;) ) there is always a danger of getting hurt even doing the simplest thing, for example: i was at work and went to climb into a lifted GMC Sierra and without thinking i jumped in, well in the process of doing that i smacked my head really hard on the door frame causing the little metal button thing on my hat to gouge into my scalp causing a lot of pain and now a sore on my head. it may not have been fatal but it shows even the easiest of things can have a negative consequence, of course it was MY fault i hit my head XD. anyways thats my view on the situation.

The same goes even if you do wear a helmet. Not that I'm against helmets, but you can't honestly say a helmet guarantees survival in a crash.

Edit: Snafu beat me to it...by two hours. :icon_rofl:

but you can't honestly say a helmet guarantees survival in a crash.

but you can't argue that it sure increases your odds........

i said it once already:
people who don't believe in wearing a helmet everytime, never will (i stated the reason in a previous post) and i bet their loved ones sure think they are cool for not conforming, especially when they orphan their children, and force their parents to bury a child (which no parent should ever have to do)

when i'm just hunting or something i don't worry about a helment, now when i know i'm gonna be acting stupid- heck yea i wear a hard shell on my head..

on a motorcycle we are required to here in MS so i don't have a choice there- i'd wear one anyways...

dude, that's what you do when your mom is out? when my mom left, it meant something was getting set on fire or shot at

When I was six I put a juice box behind her car tire. It popped when she went to pull out, she turned pale white faster than Michael Jackson.

i learned long ago
that a person that doesn't wear helmet does so because they have nothing to protect. and no amount of us telling them so is going to change that fact.
just like i would bet money that kip does not go out and buy a helmet and wears it every time he puts a leg over a machine......he just won't

thats like saying do you put saftey glasses on just to check your oil? if not then you probably wont put them on if your grinding or welding or what ever.
