I have been wanting one of those M100 or M101 (whatever name they are, I forgot) military trailers for a real long time now. I had friends that had them years ago and the things last almost forever!!! I just don't know if I really need one now that I have sold all my bikes and all the parts that went along with them. I may need a small trailer once in awhile but I can rent one for a weekend or a week, or I can got o Harbor Freight and buy one of those stand up trailers that I can lean up against the side of the wall in the garage. But.....I found this military style trailer that is really nice and it has 35 inch tires. I don't know guys.... he wants $700 for it but it is really nice with current paint and clear coat.

What do you think, guys. $700 too much (he is pretty firm on the price). My wife says we really don't need it. I can fill it with bags of mulch and bags of rocks when we need to add stuff to the back yard....but it is a really nice looking trailer. Most likely it will sit in the garage for way too long.....

problem with military trailers is their weight. real heavy to be sure. the metal looks thinner on your trailer, and also a smaller bed than a military trailer. obviously, the money is in the tires and wheels. depending on the gauge of the steel sides and floor, the strength of the frame, and the suspension, $700 doesn't sound too bad really. i'd just have to have more space myself. i have one of those Harbor Freight trailers, 1720#, 12" tires, that doesn't fold up. i like it lots!4x8ft bed gets everything i need on it without any problems. got mine as an open box for $250. everything was there. i see they are on sale now for $360. again, not a bad price.
if the wheels on that trailer match up to the wheels on your truck... bolt pattern, back space, etc. then i'd go for it. just my $.02

I'm building a trailer right now...out of a 1937 Duesenberg axle and frame. Very easy to scrounge parts and build a trailer on the cheap.

He is probably trying to cover the cost of the tires mainly. It is a nice trailer though.

That's a blasphemy against Duesenbergs!!!!!!!! Just sad in a way I guess, like making a trailer out of a Rolls Royce or something...

That doesn't look like a military trailer. It looks like a garden trailer with big tires.

I want to build one out of an old ranger bed. I want to put electric brakes on it though.

You are correct. It is a military style trailer as I stated in my first post. The inside demensions are 19" deep, 41" wide and 64" long. The 35 inch tires make it seem so big. The trailer is street legal and it has a vin. It is painted with a base coat clear coat. It is so neat looking. But $700 is just too much for something I only need once in Awhile.....lol maybe $345??

I agree with will also. Its military style but def not military. You can find better trailers, weld a military hitch to it and add used tires for way cheaper than 700 and have alot more cargo space.
