Looking for info on a 2006 Seat Upgrade

I've just purchased a 2006 XL 2.5 liter regular cab Ranger, a great truck. The only down side is the driver's seat. The cushions (particularly the back rest) are pretty flat and it's fairly uncomfortable.

I'd like to upgrade the seats, prefderably to buckets of some type. I've seen a fair amount of info on this, but it seems to apply to mid-90's (or earlier) Rangers, haven't found anything for a 2006, So:

1. Are there other vehicles I can use the seats from for this model year and cab? Explorers seemed to be the most common donor for the earlier models.

2. Are there any vendors who sell seat upgrades?

3. Even if I stick with the original seats (or an OEM replacement), is it possible to modiify the seat mounts such that I can move the whole seat assembly back an inch or so? At 6' tall even an extra inch would make the truck more comfortable.

There is no difference between the cabs from 98-12 so any seat upgrades that work for regular cab trucks from 98+ will work for your 06. Ford offered a couple of different seats for our trucks, so the easiest option is to locate a higher trim level Ranger and swap seats. My 01XLT seats have actual bolsters, while my stock 00 XL seats were totally flat.
