Probably a silly question but does anyone have a diagram of the front steering / suspension for a 1998 4x4 3.0?

I don't fully understand how it all works but I do know I'm having some issues with a "wobble" when I hit some bumps. I don't believe it is the shocks because I know how bad shocks feel, but I'm thinking it is some bushings.

So I am looking for a diagram to see how it all fits together ;)

Thanks in advance,
Vince

Did you check your tie rod ends and also your ball joints? You need to jack up the front end and grab the wheel and shake side to side if it moves it can be the tie rod ends. If you take the wheel and rock it up and down it can very well be the ball joints. Haynes manuals I believe have diagrams of the front ends you can pick one up in any auto parts store.

How hard are ball joints and/or tie rod ends to replace?

Is it something you can do with just jack stands and a few hand tools?
Any little "gotcha's" I should watch out for?

Again many thanks!

Vince

also, check out www.alldatadiy.com... a little pricey, but has amazing (sized for print) diagrams of everything specifically tailored to your exact model and year..
