Hello! I just wanted some feedback on if you think this is a good idea. I currently have a 1998 Ford Ranger 2.5L I-4 Stepside 2wd 5Speed. I came across a 1997 Ford Ranger Reg Cab Long Box, 4WD with the 4.0L and a 5 Speed. It was a one owner, older mans pickup who recently died. They are asking 5500 for it. It is at a deler near me. I just wonder what you guys think. I have always wanted a 4.0 and 4wd. Ohh. Ps. There is not 1 scratch in the bed and the body is in EXCELLENT shape. None scrateches or chips what so ever. Thanks

few other things u want to look at, such as mileage, rust on the underside(spring hangers, coil buckets etc.)

Go over it with a fine tooth comb, that about what they go for around here with decently low mileage, so as long as those things check out i say go for it, but keep them both, one for off road and trail riding and one to be ur pavement pounding bitch
