Anything to look for other than the floors, frame and firewall? Going today around 1330. If it is nice enough, I will have my dream car.

Where have you been?

Look at the subframe/body mounting points. Also the shock towers.

I graduated from UTI back in December (almost everything was a waste until I got to the Ford FACT classes) and I've been working. Went to school for auto and never took the diesel classes, big mistake when you end up working on trucks and equipment. I have also found Minecraft to be addicting.

I'll check those spots too.

The trunk pan,, the undercarriage in general. Basicly with anything that old I recommend taking a peek at anything you could take a look at without having to disassemble something.

I'd take a look south of the Mason-Dixon line. The further south, the better.

The cowl area is one that is a normal and expensive problem. One good news is that so much of the body/sheet metal can be had now a days.

Dammit Dave, I love that truck in your avatar.

I really was an IDIOT for getting rid of it a couple of years ago! Was really a sweet truck.
Dave of the Nord

Yes, I know how you feel dave. I saw my 85 on Thursday. Still looks sweet and the girl is taking care of it, but seeing it I really miss it......

I took a look at it and forgot to take pics. Lowest the guy will go is 3k. Needs some stuff but it's not bad for a Northern Mustang.

Pros: The cowl area and firewall were good, floors and frames were fine and comes with a gastank. No visible rust but bondo in it's place. Comes with spare engine and trans. Has original hubcaps and spare parts. Runs and drives. and the biggest thing, my dad likes it for the most part.

Cons: I will need to use some parts off my other Mustang for this one. Mainly dash metal. No radio or antenna. Need to repaint it and replace bondoed areas (bottom of the fenders and quarters). Needs tires.

Will hopefully know by tomorrow if it is worth the 3k from a family friend/car restoration guy.

Well, I looked at 3 in the last week but only 2 are good enough to be worth repairing.
The first one has some bondo on the rear quarters at the bottom, the dash has a hold cut into it, i think the radio is missing and so is the antenna, it has a cowl cover and needs a gas tank. Also, a rough bomb job. The pros, runs (little rough) and drives, has new gas tank (in box), drivers side floor pan was redone, spare motor and trans come with the car, and it has most of the original trim in the trunk. For 3500, think I can get it for 3k.

The second one had front frame rotted and rockers, floors and fenders were rusted and rotted. but ran nicely.

The third runs, drives (personally drove it), has new gas tank, rear frame rails, trunk panels, dealer installed A/C (needs to be recharged i think) and decent paint. The bad, rust on the fenders except the right rear quarter, needs 13" tires (Thought they were factory 14"?) and the floor might be starting to go. $4200 probably could talk hm down

All 6cyl auto, all white with black interior. Anyway, any thoughts?
Also if you have one for sale or know someone that does, I am looking for ones that are "better" projects for under $4500. '65 only though.
