Hello everyone. I'm looking at buying a 1992 Ranger 4x4, 2.9L V6 automatic with all the bells & whistles. If anyone has experience with these trucks, I'm curious what I should watch out for. I've read that there are problems with the cylinder heads cracking on the 2.7L V6.

Any other problems I should look for before I buy this truck? Thanks!

how many miles on the motor and tranny????

the aflds are kind of blah...ok they suck...what are you planning on doing with the truck....just as a daily driver the 2.9 with tthe auto "a4ld" tranny number is a good set up....you would have a bulit proff truck if it was a 5 speed....but that swap would be at an other time

as for me i love the 2.9...great little motor...awsome torg and decent gass milage

i had a 92 with a 2.9 and love that truck i also had the 5 speed...all for autos are junk i had 180,000 miles on her and sold the truck last year and seen it around a few times... i would get it...
