I have been reading alot the last few days and searching like crazy but I just wanna touch on some details.
I have a 2000 Ranger XLT ext.cab 4x4. Lately it has been sporadically shifting into 4hi and 4l when I want it to. Will usually go into 4hi but usually won't go into 4lo but occasionally will. I just put a new Optima battery in it cause I have set it up for a winch.
Reading other threads people have said installing a new battery can kill your 4X4CM. Is this the relay?
When I switch to 4hi or 4lo and it doesn't go I don't hear any clicking , so I think this is correct to assume. When it does work it clicks like normal.
I just wanted to confirm that this module will be behind the GEM in the dash behind the stereo. I have also seen mention that it might be behind the passenger kick panel. Anyone know which?
Also where can I find how to test the module?
Thanks in advance.
