look what happened

so i had a vibration and this is what happen

now i need new gears and a new carrier
i only have an explorer rear laying around guess ill have to change out the housing and look for a set of 373 ring and pinion

I have a carrier I'll pull for you. I don't have gears that I am willing to part with.

its the 28 spline axles. i noticed it is a bit smaller than the explorer one

do you think i could "clean" up the ring gear and use it?

Yeah, I have a whole 28 spline that I want rid of. It has 3.27's though. It's in good shape though, you get the whole thing off me, setup some fresh gears in it, swap your brakes, and go to town, you don't have to worry about cleaning the shrapnel out of yours.

I wouldn't try to clean that up. I can't see if the pinion is damaged or not, but you can't mix and match ring and pinion sets. Even if the pinion isn't damaged the ring is compromised and will probably keep chipping.

You could clean it up and use it as a paperweight.

Drill some holes in between the teeth and use it for a pencil holder.
