longest alignment in history-4th day so far

I took my ranger 94 2wd with 5.5 " lift, new upper & lower ball joints, 0-3 1/2 degree adjustable eccentric bushings & new 33" BFG KM2s. to a shop here in Lakewood,Wa on Thursday & they stated it will be done in a few hrs. They never called me. It was me calling to see if truck was done. When I picked up truck they said its the best they could do until I tightened up wheel bearings. So I took it home & once I had either front tire off the ground I noticed how stupid the alignment mechanic is.

It wasnt the wheel bearings ,but the fact that he didnt have the eccentric bushings pushed all the way down in the holes & which caused the ball joint to have play. So I took it back & by 4:30 again they never called me, I called them. They say its the best they can get it.

Now mind you I payed for it already when I picked it up the first time. So now when I leave for a test drive it wants to badly wonder under acceleration & also during deceleration. I returned the truck to them & said I'll leave it so they can start on it first thing Friday morning.

I call them at 4:20 & they say mechanic is working on it & I call again @ 4:47 & they say it wont be done today but they will have it done on Saturday. So I ask what there hrs are on Saturday & they state 8-5pm.

I called them on Saturday around 11:30 & asked when they expect the truck to be done? They state that they would call me when its done & that the correct degree bushings had to be ordered & that they werent in yet. So WTF work was the mechanic doing to it close to closing time on Friday. let alone having it all day.

I decided to swing by around 4pm & they closed at 3pm & they even have a sign on the door with there hrs stating that Satuday is 8-3.

So now im waiting for them to call me saying its done ,but im thinking it may be as late as Tuesday.

When I get my truck back should I bitch about it taking so long & request a refund as this is my truck that I use daily for my business & have so far lost about $400-600 during the time they have had it.

DONT DO BUSINESS WITH KEN'S TIRE SERVICE IN LAKEWOOD,WA

huh. i would have taken it elsewhere after the second try, and gotten a refund as what you paid for hadnt been completed to your satisfaction. for those types of things, a ford dealer is usually your best bet.

They are scamming you if you have true concentrix's already installed. I've run into this problem also with NTB, including a tech taking my truck for a joy ride. Make sure you find a tech that actually knows how to align a ttb before you drop it off next time. That'll be the hardest part of your next alignment.

Sent from road while ignoring traffic

well my girlfriend happen to drive by the shop & noticed my truck parked outside ,so I waited 1/2 hr for a phone call & it never came so again I called & answer was "Oh yeh its done come up & get it" So we are headed up now to get it so I will see how it drives then will see what happens next.

Duhhhhh, are they dumb!!! I had mine done once way back when I did my lift in 2000. I have it checked every year and it has always been perfect. It goes straight and has no pull. I don’t understand these idiots you went to!!!

Now they wanted to charge me $126 for the eccentric bushings they installed & there basically the same style as the ones I had in for over a year. I said BULLSHIT. He said they cost $56 each & he could show me the receipt, so I asked to see it & then he said heres your keys just leave now.

Before I took truck to them it pulled very very little to the right, but being as I had all 4 ball joints replaced I figured it would be best to have an alignment done especially since it has a few months on new tires.

He also stated that when a mechanic is done he has another ,mechanic test drive vehicle for additional input on the service being good to go.

Well all of there mechanics must be retarded dumb ass's as I left there & the truck pulls much harder to the right when you barely let loose of the steering wheel.

He refused to refund me the original $56 for the alignment ,but I didnt pay him $126 he was triing to get from me.

I called around & im taking it to another shop on Wed @ 1pm for the same $56 & I have actually heard good things about this shop & my local Discount tire store even recommends them.

Besides here I also posted a review through a google company after doing a search for the shop.

BEST TO GO ELSEWHERE!!! NOT at Ken's TIRE SERVICE, Lakewood,Wa
