longest alignment in history-4th day so far
I took my ranger 94 2wd with 5.5 " lift, new upper & lower ball joints, 0-3 1/2 degree adjustable eccentric bushings & new 33" BFG KM2s. to a shop here in Lakewood,Wa on Thursday & they stated it will be done in a few hrs. They never called me. It was me calling to see if truck was done. When I picked up truck they said its the best they could do until I tightened up wheel bearings. So I took it home & once I had either front tire off the ground I noticed how stupid the alignment mechanic is.
It wasnt the wheel bearings ,but the fact that he didnt have the eccentric bushings pushed all the way down in the holes & which caused the ball joint to have play. So I took it back & by 4:30 again they never called me, I called them. They say its the best they can get it.
Now mind you I payed for it already when I picked it up the first time. So now when I leave for a test drive it wants to badly wonder under acceleration & also during deceleration. I returned the truck to them & said I'll leave it so they can start on it first thing Friday morning.
I call them at 4:20 & they say mechanic is working on it & I call again @ 4:47 & they say it wont be done today but they will have it done on Saturday. So I ask what there hrs are on Saturday & they state 8-5pm.
I called them on Saturday around 11:30 & asked when they expect the truck to be done? They state that they would call me when its done & that the correct degree bushings had to be ordered & that they werent in yet. So WTF work was the mechanic doing to it close to closing time on Friday. let alone having it all day.
I decided to swing by around 4pm & they closed at 3pm & they even have a sign on the door with there hrs stating that Satuday is 8-3.
So now im waiting for them to call me saying its done ,but im thinking it may be as late as Tuesday.
When I get my truck back should I bitch about it taking so long & request a refund as this is my truck that I use daily for my business & have so far lost about $400-600 during the time they have had it.
