My first vehicle was a '99 x-cab 3.0L 4x4 Ranger XLT. I got it real cheap from a family member and knew it was in rough shape. I learned a lot about automotive through working on this truck. A few days after thanksgiving '16, it lost oil pressure on the way to school and the engine seized up. Being that I still needed a vehicle to drive every day of the week, I wasn't able to be too picky with what I bought a week later. The best truck for the money I had at the time was a 2wd single cab long bed 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 with a 318. It has been a great truck but I miss my Ranger. Recently, almost 2 years after first getting the Ranger, I tore it apart and I'm planning to do a 5.0 swap. I would like to build a mud truck out of it but because $$$$$ I'll probably just start out with a 2in body lift, (more for the engine's sake than for the bigger tires) T-bar crank, and some 33s or 35s then build up to something bigger in the future. Anyway I'm sure I will be needing a lot of help real soon so I figured it was time to introduce myself and become an active part of this forum.

Hi guys!

Pulling the engine - forgot a transmission wiring connector so I had to dive back in!

Most importantly I want to say thank you to all the people on this forum who have already helped me so much in the form of the tech articles and any threads that I may have read through but not participated in over theses 2 years.

Welcome to TRS~!

I had one of those heads in my engine bay a few times and they are hard to get rid of...but at least yours looks friendly...:)

Plenty of people on here can help and I see by your post count (7) you've been getting some posting done...

Enjoy and nice of you to thank those you may never actually meet in person...I've learned pretty much everything I know from this site and that can either be impressive or depressing considering what I don't know...spent too much time just enjoying the good people on here...

Enjoy~

Mark_88 Yeah I guess you're right, now that I think of it I seem to remember getting some help here on something once awhile ago.

You've pretty well summed up my experience here with that sentence.

Fear250r thanks for the welcome
