I just bought a ranger and the bed is shot. How much is a good fair price for a 1983-92 long box in decent shape?

i bought a whole truck for $125 and got a good bed and all the parts for an m5od swap and then sold the truck for what i gave for it

I don't know exactly what one would be worth, but I'd say deffenatly more than 100 bucks.

Around here, youre lucky to get a bumper or hood for less than $80.

gonna say depends on area and condition, either look on craiglist or start calling around, that about all i can recomend

All depends on your location. I got the one on my former Ranger for $500. And it was the only one in southern Alberta that was rust free. I even called up to Edmonton and some parts of BC and Saskatchewan, everything has rust, one that's rust free goes for quite a bit.

I'd say try to buy a whole truck for cheap, then part it or scrap it. Wrecking yards tend to charge an arm and a leg for big stuff like that.

I have 2 parts trucks, an 86 stx and a 91 explorer 4 door. Ive picked over my 86 pretty well. I sold the bed (short box) for 100$ about a year ago.
