Has anyone ever done a long bed extended cab conversion? Just wondering because thats what my brain does when it's bored.

someone on here was asking about putting a long utility bed on an extended cab frame. not sure if he dived into it yet, but there is some good discussion. a quick search should find it.

Seen it talked about on several occasions, I've yet to hear of anyone actually attempting it.

It'd be a little in the "school bus" side of things for me. Though, I did have a friend in college, his dad had a business dealing with classic cars, specifically Model T's. He needed a rig to haul the family and a model T with parts etc to places.

So he got a Ford F350 Crew cab, long bed. Lengthened the frame by a few FEET, stuck a old U-haul box (big enough to park a model T in with room to spare) and between the cab and the U-haul box had a tool box about a foot wide.

Good god I wish I had my camera when he brought it up, I have never seen a longer vehicle (other than.. well.. a bus). It took up two parking spaces end to end, and just barely fit.

It certainly can be done.
