The locks on my ranger are screwed up. Every time I hit the unlock button I hear the click in the dashboard, button absolutely nothing happens. The locks don't move at all.

Are the buttons messed up or is something else broken?

Can anyone help?

do the locks work if you use the regular power lock button in the truck? if you suspect the programing is wrong in the remote you can reprogram the remote. put the key in the ignition turn it from off to on 8 time quickly the locks should make a noise then hit the lock button on the remote, the locks with then lock and unlock then you are all set.

I had a similar problem, but my power windows also wouldn't work. It turned out being the modulator in the door. I had to get them replaced in both doors. I hope that isn't your problem cause it cost me about 500 bucks. Maybe this will help.
