well this mornig my new2me '94 b4000 5spd gets 15x10 and 33-12.5 rolling stock. it has auto hubs at present but the concensus on here seems to be-NO GO-so for a medium duty (no snorkle or rock crawling) wheeler which hub s should i investigate. i think the mile markers are too little but i also have a budget because i need $300 in gears and $50 for locker (it's a restocking deal NOT a used locker) next week. here is a bonus question for you tech savy individuals-when installing gears on a d35 ttb front axle, is the installation of theses hubs going to be OVERLAP labor? i pay labor at our shop and need to bunch my upgrades together to save me money and get customer vehicles in sooner.

go to junk yard and pile up on d35 hubs, that way if one breaks youll have spares

salvage yard hubs

ok ,are stock hubs found in junk yard better or worse than Mile Marker or Warn? also will i need any small parts from auto parts store . as long as it's a d35 in the yard is that it or does spline count matter? do i need to borrow any special tools to make it easier to remove hubs

stock manual hubs are warns, which are the most popular brand on the market. you will need the spindle nuts too, which require a special spindle nut socket that you can get from parts stores. they are all the same on rangers from 90-97 and explorers 91-94

the stock/warn hubs are stronger than the milemarker hubs, the warn jeep hubs are stronger than either though.

I've got a good set of Warn D35 hubs with the Manual hub spindle nuts that are of no use to me.. Everythings there to convert you to a manual hub setup. Shoot me a PM if interested!

junk yard jeep hubs

ok i got the ranger and explorer info but most jeeps had d30 in front, right? so jeep manual hubs from an old cherokee/comanche is what i want cuz the pull-a-part near me has lots of those but no wranglers or grand cherokees

No, The D30s in those vehicles did not and do not have stock manual hubs. They have a one piece hub/bearing similar to most cars. The "locking in" of the front tires are done by vacuum assist inside of the axle. The Jeep Hubs everyone speaks of as being so much stronger than the Ranger hubs are aftermarket conversion hubs which are quite pricey :icon_thumby:

And they are for the D35 REAR axle on a jeep, not the front.

I just bought a set of super winch thru summit for $180 and they even came with all the hardware to convert it over. i think they are a better quality then warn casue thats what i replaced but on the super winch the knob was even made of metal not plastic like on the warns. but i will see how well they will hold up. I tryed the junkyards but couldnt find any seems like everybody else was stocking up on them as well.

Actually they are for both. Warn supplies the same hubs (#37780) for D30 front and D35 rear conversions.
If you're lucky enough to find a Jeep in the junkyard that has a D30 with the Warn hub conversion (5x4.5" bolt pattern), those hubs would work (and are better than stock RBV hubs).

Rbv 4 me

well being cheap,I mean THRIFTY,I am going to follow the advice of "Pile up on ranger and explorer hubs" as that seems the least expensive and fastest way to go- but as always thank you all for you input and insight

glad i could help!

good luck finding them in the wrecking yards around here, they are the first thing to go. i have yet to find a single manual hub in a wrecking yard near tacoma.

No kidding. I was at 4 yards yesterday and none of them had a single dana 35 hub. All the auto hubs were even gone.
