What Locker(s) Do You Run?
FRONT: Richmond Lock-Right
REAR: Powertrax No-Slip

Price?
about $500 for the pair NEW.

What Axles Do You Have?
D35/8.8 (31-spline)

Gear Ratio?
4.56

Manual Or Automatic Tranny?
5R55E, Automatic

Street Manners?
No-Slip is great, just a little more slop when hitting the throttle, and very very easy to kick the rear end out in the wet or snow--FUN!! i havent really driven too much in 4wd in the snow, on the road. it takes a bit of getting used to F/R lockers on snowy pavement, but it wasnt scary.

Off Road Performance?
amazing--night and day difference. steering isnt THAT bad, on tight trails, u just need to take an extra second to back up sometimes to get a better angle for the corner, austin powers style.

How Long Have You Had It?
8 months

Any Breakage?
Front axle shafts-- egged yokes, 3 broken shafts with full-circle clips, no problems since tacking the u-joint caps.

in my jeep, because i haven't built my ranger yet (will get aussie lockers when i do)

What Locker(s) Do You Run? Aussie lockers

Price? ~$250 give or take, (front/rear are a few bucks different)

What Axles Do You Have? D30 & amc20

Gear Ratio? 3.55

Manual Or Automatic Tranny? Manual

Which Axle(s) Is It Installed In? Both

Street Manners? rides nicely, with the front locked i can turn the same as if its in 2wd, only thing you can hear is the rear clicking around turns like it should.

Off Road Performance? incredible, i can get over just about anything

How Long Have You Had It? 6months, guys i wheel with have been running them for years with no problems

Any Breakage? Nothing

Anything Else? i will never buy another locker, as long as they make it for my axles, and i know they make one for the ranger axles i have

Figured I'd update this... After swapping the axles into the heavy Explorer, the Ranger 8.8 blew a shaft. It made it like 4-5 wheeling trips and then I started beating on it. Ooops. Explorer 8.8 is swapped in, soon to be re-geared and Aussie locked.

What Locker(s) Do You Run?
FRONT:Factory Dana 35 limited slip (not from Ford).
REAR: Richmond lockrite.

Price?
about $400 rear and $200 front.

What Axles Do You Have?
D35/8.8 (31-spline).

Gear Ratio?
3.73:1

Manual Or Automatic Transmission?
A4LDHD, Automatic.

Street Manners?
Lockrite is great, I don't even notice it (unless I lock one wheel while braking... clickity clickity clickity), and very very easy to kick the rear end out in the wet or snow--FUN!! As for the limited slip, the way I see it, if you get into a bind situation in extreme wheeling, it allows the front end to brake loose and limits the amount of breakage.

Off Road Performance?
amazing--night and day difference. steering isn't THAT bad... a slight bit heavy feeling (due to the limited slip in the front) but quite manageable, on tight trails, you just need to point and shoot. It's simple stupid.

How Long Have You Had It?
6 months.

Any Breakage?
None what so ever... it's absolutely great. For a daily driver where 4wd gets used on the streets during winter months, it's absolutely the way to go!

What Locker(s) Do You Run? Auburn Ected
Price? $450 on Ebay
What Axles Do You Have? Dana 35 TTB, Ford 8.8”
Gear Ratio? 3.73
Manual Or Automatic Tranny? Manual
Which Axle(s) Is It Installed In? Rear
Street Manners? Excellent street manners, it’s unnoticeable when turned off.
Off Road Performance? Excellent performance off road, I leave it turned off until I need it and even turned off it performs better than my stock LSD did.
How Long Have You Had It? One month
Any Breakage? Nope
Anything Else? I was planning on getting a Powertrax No-Slip because I had a limited slip case, but I stumbled onto a good deal on eBay and now I have select-ability for roughly the same cost as the No-Slip. I’m still debating on what to install in my front diff.

What Locker(s) Do You Run?:Lock-Right(front) /Powertrax No-Slip (rear)
Price?:$315 new/$500 new
What Axles Do You Have?: D35 and 8.8
Gear Ratio?: 373
Manual Or Automatic Tranny?: Autocraptic
Which Axle(s) Is It Installed In?: Both
Street Manners?: Awesome
Off Road Performance?: Bad Ass
How Long Have You Had It?: 6 months
Any Breakage?: No
Anything Else?: No-slip is very bearable. Only sharp turns make the tire chirp, and a small one at that. I forget its there. The front lock rite makes all the difference in the world off road. I have small (31s) tires and can go thru some serious stuff (havent tried mud tho). Benefits greatly out weigh the negatives and I WILL buy them again for my next truck if they make 'em (F350).

I sold the rig but I figured I would chime in here. This is from my 2005 Sport Trac

What Locker(s) Do You Run? Aussie lockers, front and rear
Price? $200 and change each
What Axles Do You Have? D35 IFS, 8.8" 31 spline
Gear Ratio? 4.88
Manual Or Automatic Tranny? Automatic
Which Axle(s) Is It Installed In? Both
Street Manners? The rear aussie locker is very smooth. No jerking, no loud noises (light clicking in slow speed turns), no problems towing even. It simply gets the power to the ground. With 4.88s and 33s you can stomp on it from a stop and it just goes. Very predictable after driving it for a few days. I prefer it in the snow over open or limited slip because I know when it will lock and unlock.
The front aussie locker is transparent in 2wd. In 4x4 (snow) the truck wants to go straight when you are on the throttle. I don't recommend a front locker for snow, but it is plenty doable with the right driver.
Off Road Performance? Awesome. On the throttle, they lock. Let off, the unlock. Steering is marginally tighter in 4x4 with front locker. Many trails that previously required 4x4 can be run in 2wd with the rear locker. In 4x4 the truck just goes where you point it.
How Long Have You Had It? I had this setup for almost a year.
Any Breakage? Negative. Although I did carry spare CVs and gear oil when I went wheeling, just in case.
Anything Else? Automatic lockers can be a little more uncomfortable to drive with a manual transmission. Accelerating and shifting gears while turning causes the locker to lock and unlock as you unload torque to the axle.

What Locker(s) Do You Run? Powertrax Lock-Right
Price? $356+_ from http://www.trsfabandoffroad.com/
What Axles Do You Have? 7.5
Gear Ratio? 4.10
Manual Or Automatic Tranny? auto
Which Axle(s) Is It Installed In? Rear
Street Manners? excellent easy to get used too, not noisy at all, more predictable than an open diff on snow.
Off Road Performance? great, I go through stuff that stopped me before without a problem, I now run much slower because I don't need momentum as much, could use a low range to slow me down
How Long Have You Had It? 2 years
Any Breakage? Nope
Anything Else? Best thing I ever did to my truck. :yahoo:
Tire Wear: not noticeably different than with the open diff

aug 2010 update: has less trouble off road than my new 1994 4x4 open/open, 4x4 had a slight benefit in very bad situations mostly because you can still steer.
