i have an angle ginder/polisher. i left it on the garage floor last night and it got really cold. now it doesnt work. any suggestions??:icon_confused:

Water froze in it from the compressor bet it will work again once it is thawed out.

+2
couple drops of tool oil after it thaws out wont hurt either.

Mine will do that every once in a while. I usually bring them in the house to thaw if i need to use them right away.

we keep all our air tools inside the shop once winter hits for that reason.

Definitely use some oil after it thaws. Ice will offput the oil, so make sure you protect your tools!

Bang it several times with a large hammer, drag it behind your truck for ten miles and then try freezing it again. Works every time.

just sit it ontop of the woodburner for a couple minutes and it will thaw out:icon_thumby:

i just took it back outside and it still doesnt work. 2 days inside on the furnace, no luck. now what???

Take it apart and find out what's keeping it from doing it's job. I fix pneumatic tools all the time at work. Just look for somthing that doesn't look right. It easey. Then go online and get the parts break down, find the part# and order it.

if its a craftsman they have a website that'll give you a diagram of the tool and the part numbers to fix it. If its not a craftsman you can still check the diagrams for a general idea
