im puting a explorer 8.8 in my 88 ranger and want to install a locker in befor i do the swop, im thinking of a lock-right, thet are cheap and easy to put in, or should i do a spool or detryoit locker, this is my daily driver untill i get a comuter truck , so whats my best bang for the buck? thanks for the help...mike

an Aussie, better then a loc rite and cheaper

I'd do a no slip, smoothest of all automatic lockers (since it's a dd) but will cost you about $100 more than a lock-right... If its an LS 8.8 I dont think Aussie makes a locker for the LS carrier, I do know the no-slip is made for the LS, unsure about the lock-right.

You'll have to swap an open carrier into it before you can use an Aussie or a lock rite. Or, you can pony up the $450 for the no slip that fits the L/S case...

well if i got to insides ill just pony up money for a detryoit or ARB air locker, by then ill have a comuter, #uck that sucks, i was planning on findin some thing at the swop meet, i guess the 8.8 is gunna go in. thanks , im glad i dident by a lock right tomarrow.

What? A no-slip if very similar to a lock-right, its a lunchbox locker that fits in the carrier, no messing with gear setup.

Check eBay. Summit wanted like $400 or $450 for an 8.8 28 spline Lock Right and I got one off eBay new for $340 shipped. Or might find one used, I got the Lock Right for my D35 for $170 shipped.

trs fab and offroad. lock-right $292
