Hello
Just installed some Warn Manual hubs in place of the autos on my 94 explorer..did them the same time i did my U-joints..
anyways in 2wd quiet as can be..but once i put it in 4wd i get a little howling noise...but only when i have the gas on or braking...its not too loud but sounds like a worn pad on a rotor...i checked to see if it was something rubbing on the rotor and nothing..i just did the rotors and pads 2 months ago...and checked the diff fluid right before this winter and it is full..also not sure if its just the noise of the 4wd working but it sounds kinda unpleasant...again its not too loud kinda like a worn pad on a rotor....any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Nick

did it just start when you put the hubs on? sounds like might be in the hubs.. i had a LOUD griding/ratcheting sound. couldn't figure out what it was only did it when hubs were locked.. took my hubs apart an swaped with another set an it went away.. the passenger side hub was full of grease an crud cleaned it up an refreshing it an it works great an no more noise!

yea , their brand new. and i just puts those hubs on about 3 weeks ago...maybe too much grease?..i didnt add any it still had the factory amount...
