I have a '95 4x4 with the 7.5 limited slip and it doesn't work really well. Around corners ill do a one-wheel-peel, but on straight road both will spin. I just changed the gear oil over the summer, and I'm pretty sure no water got into it. I heard these limited slips get weaker over time (123,000 miles on the truck) Is there any way to "restore new life" into my l/s???:icon_welder:

did you put in the l/s additive when you changed the fluid? if you did, you can try changing the fluid again and leaving it out. usually they will grab a little better without the additive.

at 123K your about due for a rebuild.

limited slips contain tiny clutch discs that wear out over time. yours has just enough grip left to break both tires loose when driving straight....but not enough to overcome the friction of all the trucks weight being shifted onto the outside tire in a corner.

Well, don't fell alone. My 8.8" in my 94 is acting up too. Mine locks up all the time, fun when going around corners in the snow and ice. Even when cornering on dry roads, you hear the tires chirping. I'll probably have to rebuild this summer.
