Wondering what everyone uses for a flashlight in your house or what you keep in your ranger. I carry on my belt a maglite 2 aa 332 lumen led, and I keep in my truck a maglite 6 d cell with a 350 lumen led bulb I did a long time ago. I remove it when I am not in my truck. Both are very bright and come in good use.

Flashlight for around the house or in the truck? My phone.

If I know I am going to need a light source to work from I will bring my flash light home from work. It's Snap-On branded, but I'm pretty sure it was made by Coast. My only complaint about it is that the charger is finicky, and it works best on the rechargeable battery it came with, but it can accept a pair of AAA batteries too.

for the little stuff like "it would be nice to have a flashlight for this" around the house and car/ truck, I agree with adsm08... the phone is the best route. for camping or power failure I get a bit more serious, I have a propane fired Coleman 2 mantle lantern for serious room light, and a tactical LED light that is pretty bright and has several modes. also have a few harbor freight specials. I do have a 3 cell Mag light that i bought 20 + years ago, but while it works, it seems to suck batteries down and D cell batteries are a bit pricey and I don't really want to use the flashlight to store dead batteries lol. Now that LED lights are much more serviceable I find those to be the best for most things. even have one in my tackle box.

Nitecore tiny monster

Bought a Leatherman years ago that came with a tiny, single AAA flashlight, that little bastard is bright as crap and has been through hell and still works. It's always on my belt. I'm not joking when I say that light is brighter than some d cell lights.

The bigger lights i use for hiking, boating, diving, apocalypse are all pelican. They all have a lifetime no questions asked warranty like old school craftsman tools and for a good reason. My pelican 2680 headlamp (only rated as water resistant) sat on the bottom of the Delaware river for 2 weeks before I got another light and went back and found it. Still works fine.

I have one of these in every vehicle with spare batteries and in every bedroom and bathroom. It's also my EDC.

Why so many? They go on sale for $4.99.
I like that they are a simple on/off light, not multi-mode. Bright enough to use as a close range tactical light and yet not so bright that you can't use it for everything else. Uses two AAA batteries and works fine with rechargeable batteries.

I have so many... seems there is usually one at Christmas/Fathers day/birthday... family thinks I always need one and it's an easy gift. I have a pile of MagLites... I don't use the D cell batteries ones much anymore they just suck down batteries to fast.

The one I use the most is a Snap On LED... It's always in my travel tool bag and usually goes where ever I go. Easy on batteries and puts out pretty decent light...

I love lights!

I keep one of those 6 led 3$ flashlights in the truck.

I have a surefire weaponlight I need to buy the led head for, as the halogen bulb EATS those stupid expensive cr123 batteries.

I really like my Ozark trail(?) led light I bought at Walmart 7 or 8 years ago. Couple hundred lumens, takes 3 aaa, "tactical" style bezel for smashing faces.

Got a Princeton tec headlamp that turns night into day.

Waterproof solar flashlight.

Couple small battery lanterns.

I'll just upload a pic when I get home.

I love lights too...

I bought exactly one higher end tactical light and within a few weeks it was missing. Just not going to do that again. I never seem to loose any of the big clunky MagLites. I organized the garage yesterday... The 2 cell with the Nite Ize cover goes with me on all of my outdoor doings. Not even sure what to do with the others... probably garage sale material.

I would like to get a big maglight to keep in the truck.

One of those lights with the beam intense enough to light paper on fire would be cool too, but it's really just a novelty. If I remember right it's only mode is "burn" and it lasts about 6 minutes lol.

Magnifying glass... I always have one cause I can't see. I can set the world on fire with one... if it's sunny.

You want one of these MagLites? I'll send you one. Send me back something that you have a couple to many of... Make it something outdoorsy... like an old deer antler... or old trap. Something for my man cave display. I have a really nice 4 D cell that I will package up.

Back in the day I use to love to taking the old angle head military flashlights and converting them to LED. Something just cool and nostalgic about them old green flashlights I love.
