Light Tactical Vehicle

Hey All,

So here is what I am wanting to do. I want to basically take a truck and turn it into a light tactical vehicle for as little as possible but still get the job done. Im not quite sure what platform model of truck I should use though. I was thinking a 1990 Ranger but people keep saying it would need thousands in suspension and engine parts.

Here is what I would like to do:

Extended bed truck - 6" lift with tough tires for both on and off road use (mainly off)

Regular doors removed and tube doors added

Truck bed converted into seating area for 4 - 6 passengers and equipment

Roll cage added over truck bed to allow for mounting of turret (like in a Humvee) and to keep passengers from falling out.

Police/Military style crash bar added to front.
