Im looking for a light bar cab mounted for my 2001 ford ranger xlt so far i have only found front bumper light bars. does anybody know where I can get a light bar for it ? or what ones will fit it. it would have to be the gutter less mount. thanks

try lmc truck...

i get their catalog and they have one in there.

their basic one is 49.95..part number "49-3708"... this one turns on with your tail lights, brightens with your brake lights, and flashes with your turn signals... mounts in between your tailgate and bumper. however this is only red LEDS

their upgrade one 59.95.. part number "49-3706"... red amber and white LEDS, running lights, brake lights, turn signals, reverse lights

if i hadn't just spent 300 bucks on repairs from an accident (because the lady was supposed to give me the money for it ((we WERE handling this outside of insurance)) while it was in the shop, but then she decided to ignore my phone calls and what not.. so i turned it into her insurance, but in the mean time i needed to be able to drive so i had to pick it up and pay for it out of my pocket), i really like the upgrade 3rd light.. really fancy. not too expensive either...

they are both 49" wide and they stick on with self stick tape. they wire into the factory hitch plug, or if your truck is like mine and doesn't have that.. you can also hard wire it (which kinda sucks... just not as easy you know? lol)

I think he meant a light bar across the roof of his cab, like what I have on my BII, but mine is gutter mounted.

Im looking for one for you as we speak...

And you could always get a rollbar/lightbar in the bed, I know you can get those easily.

rofl.. ya i guess i just read too fast?

i suppose it's still good info if anybody sees it that needs it lol.

carr.com is the people who make those light bars. you need to buy the extra gutterless mounting kit stuff though

I sent an email to carr.com earlier but they said they dont make one for the ranger so I guess maybe get one that is made for a 2001 ford explorer ? or maybe the lightbar for the F-150 ? I know the explorer has the same engine and is pretty similiar, but idk the measurements for the roof , and I dont want to get it only to find out its too long or short ,you know?

I was thinking about getting a roll bar but i have a toolbox mounted to the bed and don't want to remove it, you never know when you need your tools, but if there was a roll bar that would still let me open the toolbox then that would be nice.

I was also looking at a headache rack but i don't like the bars gong across the window, feels like im in prison, and im not gona spend a few hundred on it just to take a grinder and cut the bars out.

I'm going to check out a junkyard out in PA and see if I can find something that might fit, I have seen people take the stock roof rack of an explorer and wire the lights to it so maybe if they got an explorer at the junkyard I might try using that and see how it goes ?

Maybe I want a lightbar up top a little too much ?

I was looking at the led tailgate lights but sometimes I haul dirt, gravel, sand, etc. and it slips right thru the space, so I was just wondering how do the lights hold up ?

i thought bout just makin one for my ranger. i was just gonna grab some scrap 2 in. conduit from the electricians on one of the jobsites i work on. my sisters bf is an electrician and has conduit benders. im a redneck, i like to do stuff the cheap way.
