How much lift would be required to run 38.5x15.5's on a bronco ii without trimming fenders?

At least 12" (not recommended), I still don't see 38.3x15.5's actually turning without fender trimming, and it pains me to believe you'd even think about trying to mount tires that big on a D28... It probably already broke just because you thought about, you better go check... If you really wanna run 38's swap in at least a D44...

Look there, there is someone (black G3 Ranger) with 38x14.5 on 10" of lift, but his fenders still need trimming...

it was just a thought i had... ive got 33's under her right now with 6inches of susp lift... ive also swapped in a dana 35, but its still only rated for 35's... I have a buddy that bought a 4runner with 38's, now he towers me id like to be able to go down the same trails

i know i could get another 4inches from my susp, and 3 in a body lift, but then ill be seriously concerned with it being too top heavy... what do you think?

Fiber fenders and you could fit them.

I can for sure fit 35's If i could find some 37's or 38's I'd give them a shot for a week or so and see how they hold up.

BTW I've got 4" of lift and fiberglass fenders.

If you really wanna do 38" tires I'd go FW D60 and 14bFF, that should give you plenty of room and strength to run 38's without having to worry about it busting everyday... I'd really like to see the steering set-up on a TTB with 10" of lift:icon_rofl:

it was just a question? curiosity really... thanks for your input
