So after changing spark plugs I decided I want a body lift. And I always wanted to chop my fenders. I was going to lift the truck using Chevy 63s and 6 inch jeep coils for the flex. I'm not sure that I'll need all the lift obtained from the tech section DIY lift. So I was wondering if there is any way to get the same flex without the lift?

I think you need to be more specific about what you are trying to do. How much lift you are after, what you are currently thinking about using, ect. The more specific you are, the more help we can be.

also, you do know that bigger coils are only any good with some new brackets, right?

Yes I know that haha. I'm wanting to keep it as low as possibly but not sacrifice flexing ability's. I'm after f250 shock towers, 6 inch jeep coils. 63 inch leafs, extended radius arms. That whole deal that's in the tech section. It seems to net people between 4-6 inches. I want a body lift so it's easier to turn wrenches in the bay. My friend is selling his 35s dirt cheap with less than a thousand miles on them.

I just don't want the truck tall but I can't think of a way to get a flexy suspension without adding lift. Unless I go sas and do leaf under, which I want to keep the ttb.

If I had it my way I'd have 1 inch body lift fenders trimmed to the max and a decent flexy suspension riding on 35s

not trying to burst your bubble but if you set up your ttb right you can get more flex then if you go sas so unless you really need it i dont see you getting much more flex by going sas and leafs

I don't want to sas. I know what can be done with the ttb and I like it.

There is a lot of info in the tech section, so "that whole deal" still isn't very specific....

The back end is really easy to get lots of flex without it riding very high. Do a shackle flip in the back with belltechs.

Keep in mind to get big flex you need big shocks, which means custom shock mounts higher up.

The front isn't so easy... You can't just flip something around to give you huge flex. If Im not mistaken, 6" jeep coils net about 3-4" of lift on one of these trucks, while allowing for more down travel? I think that would put your front higher than the back, so you might need a block out back to level it or something (Someone else will have to chime in, although there is a BIG sticky thread on the lift provided by 63" cheby leafs in one of the suspension forums)

By "Chevy" leafs, they might have to come off a truck, if I am reading you correctly.

now if he lifts it it's gonna be harder to change the spark plugs lol

3" body lift would actually make it easier, as long as it had no gap guards, or they were easily removable.
