Lifting my 97

Company owners got it for like 15K since it was used. It can cut like 3-4 inch thick if you go slow enough. Maybe one of those CNC plasma cutting tables? I think they're a lot more reasonable.

Yeah I was poking around with google looking at plasma tables too. Cheapest complete set ups I could find were in the neighbor hood of 3000 and up.

i've been thinking of how to get rid of my plastic diff cover and i like your simple setup
-10 flat pieces and you're done,plus some plugs.

I agree. A torch is very, very useful. As much as I've borrowed my dads, you'd think I'd have purchased my own by now.....

My local metal shop has a plasma cutter, and plasma cam cuting table. I learned as little on that in High School. Neat, simple system. Back to what I was saying.....I have taken a few peices down for him, meaning the metal shop, to cut and he's only charged me like $5. Maybe check your local metal shop? It get around all the tedious saw cutting....

Another option that I am seriously considering, as it is the most economical one is a verticle band saw in the neigborhood of 14".
