Holy god.... awesome truck but I'm really curious after doing all this work on the front axle would you go back and just SAS when you started?

those radius arms look pretty spiffy! get some more pics of them.

No way. When I started, I didnt really know much. I know alot more now. I have been wheeling with guys that know alot more from me and have been learning alot.

When building something like this, there is alot more to it than just the time and effort spent. The journey to get the knowlage is a another big part of it.

Made some good progress today.

Put the front axle back under the truck. Then started chasing the gremlins that I didnt bother with before. Mostly places that it was binding up.

Also did a little grinding to clearance the center Ujoint for more flex. It will need alot more work if I want to get serious about this but I dont plan on jumping the truck anytime soon.

Getten a lot done! Great work! You must not be married, cus if I spent as much time out in the the shop as you, I wouldn't be anymore! Watching your builds is making me want to start getting custom on my truck.

Driven down to get an interference fit with the brass tube/grease fitting and hole in the rotor.

You know, I never thought about that........ maybe I will "adjust" my crossmember. :icon_welder:

Then again, I always wheel with friends and I have a tow rig.....

So how's that motor swap coming?

:thefinger:
J/K! Looking good as always. The grease fitting for the wheel bearings is a pretty cool idea. And, you know, all the other stuff. :icon_thumby:

it looks like the grease fitting will only get the one side, imbw

looks good, keep it up

Motor swap?

Ohhhh crap, thats what that thing is sitting in my basement, I got so distracted by this other stuff.......

Thanks. We will see how it works. I have read that too much grease can cause wheel bearings to over heat. However the only other believeable source I found this info on was from mercedes benz. IDK if its more of a concern at higher speeds or if it will be a problem at the normal speeds that this truck will see.

It wont be a problem, the grease will work its way around the whole space with a couple spins of the rotor. Thanks.
