I have a 96 extended cab ranger 4X4 with the 4.0 engine. I have looked through the forums and not found the answer that I'm looking for anywhere. My suspension is sagging to the left on my truck and I would like to level the truck back out, with a couple inches of lift added as well (3-4). I have heard that the rear leaves from a explorer will raise the rear about 2 inches. Also that F-150 coils will raise the front about 3 to 3 1/2 inches. But I can't find anywhere what style / year of F-150 coil I should get. Do I use a 2wd or 4 wd coil?

Thanks in advance

I'f you're lifting 3-4"... and want to maintain steering or the like... You will need to fork over for drop brackets... Otherwise you will have camber issues, and your Radius arms will be at a bad angle, and tight.

On another note... Look for TJ 2" lift coils I believe. Think they would net you 4" and most likely cheaper then ranger coils.

Thanks for the advice on the TJ 2 inch coils. I'm in the process of making my own lift brackets now.

All the TJ coils that I came across were much softer than any RBV coil. Knowing that, I'm not sure how you come up with a 4" lift.....

Oh? When can we expect to see pictures of them? It is something that I have thought about but have not had the time to really get into.

The brackets I'm working on are not made from scratch. I'm just taking stock brackets and making them longer.

And how is this going to work. I hope its street legal. From what you described in the first thread you just wanted to even up your one side. Just hope its safe and all.
