My friends 88' 2wd ranger had 205x70r14 tires on it, and he bought my stock wheels and tires which are 245x75r16. They fit on just fine, naturally the front rubs when he turns. I've been searching through the tech library and some online stores. He just needs a little lift up front. He doesn't really want to spend the $120 summit wants for a 2in body lift for his truck. I've read about the f150 coil spacers. Has anyone ever done this on that model of truck? Any info would help. Also any other ideas to give the front end a little lift are welcome. He doesnt want to trim the fenders, I already asked, so thats out of the question.

plenty have used spacers on 2wd's. iirc you can go 1.325 or something like that of washer to net 2inchs of lift
