Ok, so my lifters are still chattering bad, and was wondering if I have to pull the heads off to replace them or can it be done without pulling the heads. If I have to pull the heads, what is a good way to quiet them down till I have the time and money for all the gaskets.

If oil pressure isn't your problem then all you need is a rocker adjustment. Easily done from the top without taking the heads off.
Ford and others make slightly longer push rods that can be installed to stop the noise.

also wondering if I should try synthetic oil and lucas, or a heavy weight oil? Or is it even a good idea to use synthetics and additives at the same time, i have always used marvel mystery oil, but never with synthetic, I have only used it in my F150 when I was using petrolium based, when I switched to syn, I have never used it since.

All motor oil is interchangable. Mix any oils with any other oils.. Synthetic oils are made from oil and are still oil. MAny oils are adverised to be half and half..
If leakage internally from wear is the problem using 50 weight oil can improve the oil pressure.

I know Lucas says on the bottle it can be used with synthetic oils, they even make a synthetic oil treatment for newer engines that is "thinner".
