I recently put world heads and all new valve train in a 88 bronco 2 xlt. I adjusted the rockers and ticked a little after adjusting then drove it about a week tick began to get loader i ripped the valve covers off and i had to colasped lifter i just put new ones in there what would cause them to colaspe like that.

If they were NEW lifters - defective! (I am assuming you also changed the oil & filter)

i sure did i went with amsoil synthetic. and when i did change the lifter for the second time it still ticks so im guessing to get ride of the tick it will need a complete rebuild.
