So im currently building up a 91 ranger 4.0 manual transmission i installed a 4" suspension lift and a 3" body lift on 35" Goodyear MTR's on wheels with the larger ford bolt pattern so i added 1.25" wheel adapters to make them fit i am having some fender tire rubbing issues im sure this could be corrected with the right wheel offset (pretty sure my wheels stick out to far) just wondering what wheels others have used for similar builds

What's the backspacing? 3.75" on a 8" or 10" wide wheel typically works well on 89-92 Rangers

I am running 15x10's with 3.75 backspacing and 33"s and have no rubbing with 5" of lift

Normal backspacing for a ranger is around 3.75 h or 4". The adaptors are the reason for your rubbing. So if you insist on using the adaptors, you need to change your backspacing by the thickness of the adaptors. I think you would need to add the 1.25", which means you are looking for wheels with 5" or 5.25" backspacing. There is an article in the "how to tech" section of this website that explains it with pictures.

But if you are looking for new wheels anyway, why not get some with the right bolt pattern so you don't need the adaptors?
